Fallas 1 March each big festival begins in Valencia. The whole city is decked out and the streets are decorated with lights and garlands. Different acts are performed every day, highlighting the "mascletaes" the firework displays, the offering to the Virgin and Fallas monuments that will be burned on March 19, last holiday.
Tomatina
La Tomatina is a festival celebrated in the Valencian town of Bunol, a few km from Valencia, in which participants throw tomatoes at each other. Held the last Wednesday of August.
Bous al carrer
The festivities include traditional Spanish bullfighting as an element of the party. In the area closest to the audience of the festival is "bous al carrer. In which the youths are encouraged to make take off the bull, showing his courage and bravery. In the town of Denia, there is a summer version. "Bous a la mar", in which the fighting takes place in the port and youth are taking the bull into the water.
