City of Arts and Sciences

It is an amazing cultural and recreational center for its architecture, located in the Turia  riverbed and with an area of 350,000 square meters.

The City of Arts and Sciences is made up of:

  • Hemisféric. Spectacular IMAX theater with a screen of 900m2. The structure represents a human eye, the eye of wisdom.
  • Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe. This museum to present a didactic, interactive and enjoyable everything related to the evolution of life, science and technology. The museum's motto is: "No do not touch, no feel, not think."
  • Umbracle. This viewpoint garden serves as a platform to watch the entire complex of buildings in their entirety.
  • Oceanografic. The largest aquarium in Europe, with over 45,000 living more than 500 species. It consists of several buildings which house all the planet's marine ecosystems.

Museums and Monuments

The city of Valencia, rich in monuments and architectural sites of interest, has more than fifty museums and exhibition halls. The best art museums in the city are the Museum of Fine Arts San Pio V and the IVAM.

"A piece of Africa in Valencia"

It's a zoo in which barriers are virtually invisible and animals to roam free, has an area of 100,000 square meters and is located in the headwaters of the Turia riverbed.

This park has the peculiarity of taking the visitor completely to the animal habitat and not the other, as with traditional zoos is the concept called zoo-immersion.

Leopards, lemurs, hyenas, lions, giraffes, gorillas, rhinos, hippos, porcupines, ostriches, elephants, otters ... coexist with each other in this world zoo, which offers exciting experiences in every corner of the park and every minute.

Parks and Gardens

The city has extensive parks which are a meeting place for all citizens and visitors.

The old riverbed has become the Jardin del Turia, a large garden and green space in the city. In his long round alternates sport and leisure facilities, which make the ride in an authentic recreation and leisure area. On each side of the shore are some of the major museums, monuments and tourist attractions of the city, turning this large urban park into a true "river culture".

La Albufera

The Albufera Natural Park is 10km from Valencia. This lake is a place of great ecological interest because it different wintering waterfowl. Its waters are used for fishing and growing rice in the marshes. In the nearby village of El Palmar you can enjoy typical Valencian cuisine, later to take a boat ride.
